I have been given these pillows by friends of mine and am now reconsidering those friendships. How ugly! I think I can do something fun with them.

Created by Mike and Jennifer Tuttle these pillows are made from 100% sustainable recycled polyester. Handprinted and handmade in the USA with environmentally-friendly inks with no chemical waste or disposal generated. All paper waste from this process is repurposed as shredded packing material. Product is recyclable at the end of its life-cycle.

I mean, who does not like all those responsible words about being responsible human beings while pillow shopping? Plus, how cute are those pillow graphics? Wonder if I can “thriftcopy” that?

UPDATE: Super Simple Mirror

I wrapped that fugly cardboard that was backing our mirror in a flowered Teflon fabric I had in my fabric box and stapled it back into place. Now it looks great from both sides and it protects the wall.

I am pleased.

Mod Make-over

The shelf had some pretty heavy varnish all over it so I spent some tv watching/sanding time with it until it was scuffed enough to take primer. Then, I slapped on 2 coats of very, very white paint and lined the back of the shelves with a mod-looking paper. I like the final look! The question is: what now?? Does it hold mail or do I turn it into a charging station for phones, iPods, ect? Do I add hooks or maybe attach a sweet pencil holder to the top?
