Frame

I came across this frame today in Vintage Values. It was wooden and had a stained mat. I got so excited about refinishing it that I forgot to take a before picture!

I spray painted the frame and the mat. Then I cut out a swathe of the sewing machine fabric that I used on the fancy chair.

Done. That was easy! Try it yourself.

AFTER: Desk Thingy

So, I have been working hard all day to finish my desk project. It was fun. Here is what I did:

1. Removed all hardware, mirror and the beat up back board.

2. Scrubbed with disinfectant cleaner.

3. Waxed with Johnson Paste Wax

4. Washed hardware in dishwashing detergent with bleach.

5. Replaced door glass with a pretty paisley fabric and lined it inside with pink ribbon.

6. Recut and replaced the back board and one drawer bottom.

7. Giggled with satisfaction.

I have been given these pillows by friends of mine and am now reconsidering those friendships. How ugly! I think I can do something fun with them.
